Course Overview

This course is for people who want to develop the skills and tools to use in libraries and work as a library assistant.

You will gain a variety of useful library skills, including how to organise and maintain library collections, how to search library databases, use cataloguing tools, use and support multi-media equipment. Face to face customer service skills will be developed as well a chance to use social media skills to communicate with customers and colleagues.

And finally you will develop a range of skills that will allow you to assist with public activities and events.
