Course Overview

This course prepares post secondary students for further studies in art and design at diploma and degree level.

This course provides a general grounding and the opportunity to produce a folio of work that meets the requirements of entry to a wide variety of art and design courses.

You will be introduced to design principles and elements through implementation of the design process. The course covers drawing, two and three dimensional design, typography, graphic design, contemporary design studies, layout techniques, photography, folio presentation and interview techniques.
