Course Overview

This course applies to you if you wish to learn interventions and practical skills within the area of Youth Work and Alcohol and Other Drugs.

This course is a dual qualification so upon successful completion graduates will leave with the Certificate IV in Youth Work and the Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs.

Working at this level you will develop an understanding of issues affecting disadvantaged and diverse young people. You will also have skills to work with young people and their families.

In your second semester, students get a valuable opportunity to develop and participate in running groups with young people which will give you the opportunity to utilise skills learnt to build rapport with young people.
