Course Overview

Are you passionate about empowerment, advocacy and inclusion? Do you want to extend your skills and knowledge of disability?

This course is structured to provide you with the skills and knowledge in subject areas such as empowerment, inclusion, supporting positive lifestyle, advocacy, augmented and alternative communication and human development.

Your learning will be facilitated by experienced trainers with close links to the disability sector. The course coordinator is also Vice-President of Belonging Matters Inc, a not-for-profit organisation which educates and builds capacity for people with a disability to live valued lives in the community.

Your learning is complemented by 120 hours of work placement in the disability sector, throughout the duration of the course.
