Course Overview

Do you want to make a valuable contribution to the lives of children and young people in education?

Are you currently working in, or intend to work in an education support role?

This course has been designed by experienced educators to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to become a support worker within a range of educational settings. You will learn how to: support students with literacy and numeracy skills, cater for the different learning styles, put into practice support behaviour strategies and apply the principles of inclusion and diversity.

Successful completion will qualify you as an education support worker in the following educational environments: primary, secondary and tertiary schools, specialist and early childhood settings, and community education environments.

Your learning is complemented by 100 hours of industry placement in an educational workplace throughout the duration of the course.
